Executive Board
The Executive Board members are the fiduciaries of ISA. The Executive Board is composed of the President, President-elect Secretary, Past President, Treasurer, 12 members with Society experience, and up to three at-large members.
The Executive Board sets the strategic direction for ISA, approves the annual budget, and acts on matters of policy to advance Society objectives as specified by the Bylaws.

Scott Reynolds
President
Scott Reynolds is the senior security and network engineering manager at Johns Manville. He has over 19 years of industrial engineering and cybersecurity experience and is an active member of the OT / IT community. Scott has held leadership roles in the International Society of Automation (ISA) for over 10 years and is currently the 2025 society president. Scott has an electrical engineering technology degree from the University of Maine and an MBA from The University of South Dakota.

Being a chemical engineer entering a new field like automation right out of college, I joined ISA within the first month of my employment because I knew I needed all the help I could get navigating this new career. It became quickly apparent that ISA had the most genuine people I had ever met. People that were so willing to help you learn, invest in you, and more. On top of all the technical knowledge and mentorship, ISA provided me leadership opportunities that helped me enhance my leadership skills, which in turn lead to more recognition and promotions at work. Ardis Bartle
Treasurer
Ardis Bartle is manager at Apex Measurement and Controls. Prior to this role, she was sales manager at PGAS. Ardis currently serves as treasurer on the ISA executive board. She received the Platinum Award from the American Gas Association (AGA), and is an active member of API, GPA and ANSI B109.
Giving back to the ISA Houston Section and the Executive Board has been my motivating factor and drives me to be part of ISA. The collegiality of the Board and the chance to work with individuals who push me out of my comfort zone is one of the reasons I serve. I also hope that I am affecting some type of change in the organization in a positive way.Ardis
Claire Fallon
CEO and Executive Director
Claire Fallon is CEO and executive director of the International Society of Automation. Prior to joining ISA, Ms. Fallon held leadership positions with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). A mechanical engineer by training, Ms. Fallon has also worked as a design engineer for Bechtel and served on the appeals board for Underwriters Laboratories (UL).
I am honored to be a part of ISA. Our work doesn’t just help make the world run more efficiently. Our knowledge sharing through creation and dissemination of standards and training can save lives.Claire
Soloman Almadi
Dr. Soloman Almadi is currently a professional engineering principal scientist in OT cybersecurity, process control systems, digital transformation programs and open process automation at Saudi Aramco. Dr. Almadi holds a PhD in simulation and computing. He is an inventor who is credited for over 25 inventions and technology game changer for which he received different regional/international awards and recognitions. In addition, he has published over 50 papers and was elevated to Fellow by the International Society of Automation in 2024 for his significant contributions in the automation and cybersecurity profession. Dr. Almadi also serves on the executive board of the International Society of Automation. He is also adjunct professor and research advisor at the King Fahad University of Petroleum Engineering where he teaches graduate courses in cybersecurity, IIoT and digital transformation.
My ISA journey has enriched me with great technical content, provided unique leadership opportunities and enabled me to make an impact on fellow professionals, college students and major technical powerhouse entities. It provided a platform that enabled me to achieve what was beyond limits and reach major professional goals.
Marco Ayala
As a continuous ISA member and contributor for over two decades the excitement of being on the ISA Board is a true honor. This will allow me to give back to the organization and community that helped me to where I am today.
Alan Bryant, P.E., PMP
Alan Bryant has enthusiasm for solving problems and managing projects in the energy sector. His career began in Midland, Texas, where he discovered the impact of automation strategies on productivity and data quality. Over the years, he has led significant multidiscipline projects and the development of alarm management programs. He has also been instrumental in advocating for and implementing company-wide standards to improve downtime and operational costs globally.
Outside of his fieldwork, Alan is dedicated to shaping the future of automation standards, serving as a voting member on ISA standards committees. His professional skills include project management, automation, alarm management and developing technical standards, with domain knowledge in PLCs, DCS, instrumentation and SCADA.
As I step into this new role, I reaffirm my dedication to transparency, integrity and innovation. Together, we will drive forward initiatives that enhance diversity in engineering, support youth in our field, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development and excellence. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the members ARE the society. Let’s continue to collaborate, innovate and lead with purpose. Here’s to a future filled with promise and progress for the ISA community.
Alexa Burr
Alexa Burr is a service-oriented executive with wide-ranging government relations and policy advocacy expertise. Ms. Burr has a proven record of advancing regulatory and trade policy priorities in national and global forums. Ms. Burr is currently the founder and president of a boutique consulting firm, ASB Global Strategic Advisors LLC. Ms. Burr and the firm specialize in strategy development and execution, fostering strategic relationships both domestically in the U.S. and internationally to help clients successfully navigate complex global markets.
Prior to establishing ASB Global Strategic Advisors LLC, Ms. Burr was the vice president of standards & segment services in the Global Industry Services (GIS) Division at the American Petroleum Institute (API). Ms. Burr’s responsibilities included overseeing the strategic direction of API’s standards development, global engagement, safety programs, statistics department, and its intellectual property and distribution arm. In the role, Ms. Burr developed, directed and implemented strategies to grow international relationships and API offerings.
Prior to API, Ms. Burr worked at the American Chemistry Council in various roles where she oversaw the strategic direction of Responsible Care® program and led international advocacy efforts on a range of issues.
ISA is at the forefront of driving innovation across the manufacturing sector. I'm excited to join the Board and help steer the organization and its members to unlock its full potential as a professional society and international standards development organization.
Francisco Diaz-Andreu
Francisco Diaz-Andreu has worked for Repsol, an oil and gas company in Spain, for many years. He was the chair of the instrumentation and control department in the engineering division of the company and has also worked as a procurement director.
Belonging to the ISA board is an excellent opportunity to learn more about ISA and learn about the responsibilities of a board. You also have the chance to give back some of the experience you have earned through the years in your profession and your activity in ISA.
Nick Erickson
Nick Erickson is a strategy-oriented leader with extensive experience in process measurement and control solutions built upon business partnerships. Currently, he serves as a Technical Account Manager at AWC, Inc. in St. Louis where he focuses on developing business plans and expanding customer relationships in the automation and controls sector. Previously, Nick held key roles at Mead O’Brien, Inc., including Operations Director, where he was responsible for all IT and ERP systems and support, customer Project Management, and sales support initiatives.
With a strong background in sales engineering, Nick has consistently driven growth and solution-oriented action across various industries. He holds dual Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Information Systems from Maryville University. Nick is actively involved with industry-oriented professional organizations: the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering, as well as both the International Society of Automation and Master Brewers Association of the Americas where he has held multiple leadership positions.
Having the opportunity to serve on the ISA Executive Board comes from a deep desire to serve those around me – in my community. I believe acts of service like this align well with putting our vision into action as we create a better world for one person at a time. Recognizing that being a leader requires humility, passion, trust and commitment, I am humbled by the opportunity to serve our members and automation community. Serving with a diverse Board of passionate automation professionals and supported by an amazing team of staff create a combination that is an exponentially more powerful and effective force for our industry than I could have imagined. As we continue to focus on our strategic objectives, I am more excited about our accomplishments and what the future holds than ever before. Colleen Goldsborough
Colleen Goldsborough recently became an industry sales manager for United Electric Supply, where she has worked for over 12 years. Prior to this role, Colleen was a sales engineer for 10 years working with customers from end users, OEMs and Integrators in many different markets, including, but not limited to, water/wastewater, food and beverage, oil and gas and process and control.
I’ve met lots of different people that have served ISA in different capacities. Their vision and differing points of view have been great to engage with. Everyone has their own expertise and value they bring to the board, which helps us reach a better, whole, well-rounded outcome on decisions. It is great to see it all come together, as everyone on the board and staff wants to see ISA succeed and thrive for years to come.

As I launched my career in automation, ISA provided critical support for me in the form of technical training and content, leadership opportunities and an international professional network. Serving on the ISA Executive Board is an opportunity for me to ‘pay it forward’ and ensure that the next generation of automation professionals has access to all of the valuable opportunities and tools ISA provides.

I am honored to have been elected to the ISA Board. Being a part of ISA has helped me in my career both technically and personally. The standards and publications have assisted in successful project work while networking with other automation professionals and volunteer roles have helped me become more confident as a person. Megan Samford
Megan Samford is responsible for driving the security strategy across products within Schneider Electric’s Energy Management business. In taking her role at Schneider Electric, Megan became the first female CPSO for a major industrial without first being a CISO. Prior to joining Schneider Electric, she led product safety and security programs at GE and Rockwell Automation. Before joining the private sector, Megan served as Virginia’s Critical Infrastructure Protection Coordinator for Governors Tim Kaine and Bob McDonnell. She is the current Chair of the DHS Control Systems Working Group Incident Management Sub-Working Group, ISA Board Member, and founder of the ICS4ICS public-private partnership.
I can’t think of another organization that has more to offer the global automation community. There’s something in it for everyone – whether you’re working on instrumentation or cybersecurity – you’ll find the expertise, standards and enthusiasm needed to grow your people, processes and technology. As an industrial cybersecurity professional, ISA/IEC 62443 has been my go-to standard since starting my career. It’s the most respected and adopted standard that unites the global industrial cybersecurity community, it’s our lingua franca.
Sujata Tilak
Sujata is a recognized expert in IIoT and Industry 4.0. An instrumentation and control engineer from College of Engineering, Pune, Sujata has more than 30 years of experience. She has worked with Alfa Laval and KPIT before founding Ascent Intellimation. Under her leadership, AIPL has developed an innovative IIoT platform, PlantConnect.
Sujata has wide ranging experience industrial automation, environmental monitoring, smart manufacturing and digital transformation. As an evangelist of her chosen field, Sujata’s focus is to help organizations recognize and embrace diverse ways in which technology and data can be used to become efficient and competitive. Sujata is associated with various engineering colleges as industry advisor. She regularly speaks at conferences and writes in technical magazines. Sujata’s work has been recognized with numerous national and international awards.
I have been an active ISA member and leader since 2013. I have served ISA in various leadership roles at section, district, division and society levels. Serving on the board since 2023 has been a very rewarding experience. It gives me a chance to shape the direction of this great organization along with my fellow board members and staff. The boundaries of automation have expanded a lot in past few years. ISA, with deep expertise in industrial automation, is well placed to lead this expansion. It is exciting to be part of this growth story of ISA. Working with all these experienced and accomplished leaders and staff means understanding different perspectives, knowing different cultures and learning a lot from each interaction. My involvement with ISA over the years has brought me in contact with so many interesting people and some of them have become friends. It’s invaluable!
Jeff Winter
Jeff Winter is the VP of Business Strategy for Critical Manufacturing. With almost 20 years of experience working for different industrial automation product and solution providers, Jeff has a unique ability to simplify and communicate complex concepts to a wide range of audiences, educating and inspiring people from the shop floor up to the executive board room. Jeff is also highly active in the Industry 4.0 community. He serves on the Executive Board for International Society of Automation (ISA), the International Board of Directors for MESA (Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association), a U.S. registered expert for the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) as a member of TC 65 and as a Smart Manufacturing Advisor to CESMII.
Being on the ISA board means I get to geek out with other automation enthusiasts and help shape the tech that’s making industries smarter every day.
Council of Society Delegates
The Council of Society delegates controls the general policies of the Society through its powers to amend the Bylaws, and to review the annual reports of officers.
The Council of Society Delegates meets annually to hear reports of the Society and act upon proposed amendments to the Bylaws. Each Section in good standing designates a member to act as its delegate.
