The upcoming conference will provide an overview of the ISA/IEC 62443 series of standards, ISASecure certifications, and end user and supplier perspectives on the series and OT cybersecurity.

The ISA Secure Program, in partnership with Saudi Aramco, a world-leading integrated energy and chemicals company, announced today that it will host a virtual event series on operational technology (OT) cybersecurity exclusively for the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Africa, Russia, and Asia.

Starting on 26 October 2020, “Securing Your Automation and Controls Using ISA/IEC 62443 – A Virtual Event Hosted by Saudi Aramco and ISASecure” will be held over four consecutive Mondays in October and November. Each day of the event features a series of three webinar presentations starting at 9 a.m. KSA (Saudi Arabia) time. Each presentation will last approximately 1 hour. Professional Development Hours (PDUs) will be issued to those who attend webinar presentations. Attendance is free for everyone.

“Securing Your Automation and Controls Using ISA/IEC 62443 – A Virtual Event” focuses on OT cybersecurity and the ISA/IEC 62443 series of standards, the world’s only consensus-based automation cybersecurity standards. Attendees will be able to find information on relevant ISASecure certifications, as well as detailed reviews of critical standards, end user and supplier perspectives on ISA/IEC 62443 and cybersecurity in general.

Top experts in field of cybersecurity and the ISA/IEC 62443 standards are scheduled to speak at the event series. The impressive roster includes Khalid Al-Harbi, Chief Information Security Officer at Aramco; Johan Nye, author of the Quick Start Guide to the ISA/IEC 62443 Series of Standards; James Hobbs of Exxon Mobile; Kenny Mesker of Chevron; Dan DesRuisseaux of Schneider Electric; Kevin Staggs of Honeywell; Jon Williamson of JCI; Andre Ristaino of ISASecure and the ISA Global Cybersecurity Alliance; Andy Kling of Schneider Electric; and Camilo Gomez of Yokogawa; among others. They will offer in-depth presentations on a range of today’s most critical OT and automation cybersecurity-related topics, including the relationship between IIoT and ISA/IEC 62443, the OPAF model, the relationship between smart buildings and the 62443 series of standards, and procurement guidance.

“ISA is looking forward to partnering with Aramco to present ‘Securing Your Automation and Controls Using ISA/IEC 62443 – A Virtual Event,” said Andre Ristaino, managing director of global alliances and consortia for the International Society of Automation (ISA). “We are excited to provide a platform for some of the world’s most knowledgeable experts on automation cybersecurity and the ISA/IEC 62443 series of standards.
